Physiotherapy for Chronic Pain

Hey everyone. This is Remi from Body Works Sports Physiotherapy here today to talk a little bit about chronic pain and how physiotherapy can help. When you come in for your initial assessment session, your physiotherapists will work with you to better understand your pain history and how pain has been affecting your daily life and function.

The treatment process normally involves a couple of things, including pain neuroscience education which is aimed at improving your understanding of the pain process. And second, your physiotherapist will work closely with you to reintroduce some pain free movements and activities through a process called a graded approach to exercise and activity.

If you do have any further questions about how physiotherapy can help, feel free to visit our website at, where we also have a more comprehensive article about chronic pain and physiotherapy and where you can book an assessment session with any of our registered physiotherapists.
