Posture Break Tips #3

Do your eyes hurt or get tired at the end of a work day? Neck pain?

Check out our video on how to sit at the computer and protect your eyes and neck from trouble. Posture is important.

Hi this is Dana at Body Works Sports Physiotherapy in North Vancouver. Welcome. We’d like to show you another tip for taking a break of posture during your work day, sometimes it’s a long day, your eyes get really tired when you’re looking at the screen. So one of the big things we do is look away into the distance. Take a break every half hour or 60 minutes and then come back to looking at the screen. One of the other things you may want to look at if your eyes are giving you trouble, one is having your eyes checked but two is to look at the orientation of the height of the screen. So when you come in to the screen, you should be seeing that when you look straight ahead, you look about just above centre with the screen and if you feel like the chair is too high or the monitor is too high, then you won’t be able to look properly at the screen. It can affect your vision and your eyes. Also remember to keep that neck long as your sitting, that will help you to focus on looking straight ahead. So if you have any other questions or need any help with some neck pain, headaches from work all day, give us a call or check out our website at
