Are you enjoying some holiday time this March break? Are you able to keep up with your exercises over this time? Sometimes we can be creative in keeping up with some preventive exercises. Here is one for posture and shoulder strength.
Hi this is Dana Ranahan from Body Works Sports Physiotherapy, here today to show you an exercise for posture and shoulder strength. I’m out on the ferry as you can see. So sometimes it’s good use time where you are to do exercise, even though you don’t have time to go to the gym.
So in this case, you can come to the wall:
- Feet out, back against the wall and arms up like a big T
- In this position, we’re going to get you to work on just sliding your arms up and down the wall, keeping posture long.
- Slide up as you breathe out, breathe in as you come back down.
Do ten or twenty and your shoulders will feel much more loose and much more free for the rest of your day.
