Do you sit at a computer all day? Taking a posture break every 30-60 minutes can help. Watch this video to show you how to feel better and be more productive.
Hi this is Dana Ranahan at Body Works Sports Physiotherapy in North Vancouver and we’re here today to talk about some posture break tips. We’ve shown you a tip before about seating yourself back in the chair and keeping your neck long. You should be taking a break every 30 to 60 minutes throughout the day.
- Stand up and do a little side bend stretch, trying to open up through your waist,
- Keep your neck nice and long as you bend
- Then come back into the chair.
That’s something simple you can do. If you feel that you can’t get out of the chair, you can even do it while in the chair. Take a nice deep breath in and out and stretching. So that’s a nice posture break.
Try to find something you can do every 30 to 60 minutes to break your posture. Sometimes it’s just looking away from the screen will help your eyes to readjust. If you have any questions give us a call for an appointment.
