Physiotherapy Approach to Treatment
As a physiotherapist, Remi believes in a comprehensive, whole-body approach to assessment and treatment. He works closely with clients to determine their goals and understand their injury history, and provides individualized treatment plans based on the needs of the client.
Remi uses a combination of education, manual therapy, and tailored exercise programs to help his clients recover from injury and work towards their goals. He believes in empowering his clients with information so they can be an active participant in managing their health. In addition to managing your injury in the short-term, Remi will work with you to determine the root cause of injury in order to prevent reoccurences and ensure your long-term health.
Physiotherapy combines many of Remi’s passions, including puzzle-solving and connecting with people, and he looks forward to working with you to achieve your health and/or sport goals.
Outside of work, Remi can usually be found playing recreational basketball, developing his bouldering skills at rock climbing gyms, or spending time outdoors. He is also an avid Survivor fan and will happily discuss theories with anyone who indulges him.
Hi everyone. This is Remi Lu from Body Works Sports Physiotherapy.
A little bit about my background. I'm originally from the East coast. Grew up in Toronto, also spent time in Montreal. But now here on the West coast and very happy that I am in beautiful British Columbia.
As far as my physiotherapy background, I did my Undergraduate Degree at McGill University in Kinesiology and then I went on to the University of Toronto, where I did my Masters in Physiotherapy. My physiotherapy approach to treatment, first of all, I really love to get to know my clients. I really love the one on one time. As far as my actual treatment techniques, I use a combination of manual therapy, personalized exercise prescription, and also really focused on education so that we not only address your short term impairments, but also help get you back to full function and address any longterm issues that might be there.
I'm happy to just work with anybody of all ages, all backgrounds, all athletic abilities. So I'm happy to work with anybody.
