This time of year people often start back to the gym or begin a training program in full force, to try and get fit and/or lose weight. Before you start a new exercise program, check out our video for some basic tips to help get fit and avoid injury.
Hi this is Dana Ranahan from Body Works Sports Physiotherapy in North Vancouver and today I want to talk to you about getting fit. Do you want to lose weight, get fit?
This is September now and everyone is going back to school, back to work, and back into routine. Often this is a time when people either hit the gym, try to get fit, join a running group, or try to do some fitness goals that they have in mind.
So our tips today are just don’t go too fast, sometimes people can get injured. So that’s where we can step in and help.
First off, if you have any medical conditions you should check with your physician. Second off, some of the tips that we can provide you in the clinic here will help you avoid injury.
