Background and Physiotherapy Training
Naam graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Physiotherapy after completing her bachelor in Cell & Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University. In Melbourne Naam gained valuable experience working in large public hospitals and community rehabilitation centres.
Naam enjoys working with a wide array of people and injuries, with a special interest in gym based injuries. Naam believes in integrating Education, Manual Therapy, modalities and therapeutic exercise to create an effective physiotherapy rehabilitation program for all of her clients. She enjoys working one on one with her clients to help them attain their goals in a timely and efficient manner. All physiotherapy programs are tailored to the individual needs of each client.
Ongoing education and Physiotherapy courses
Naam is a lifelong learner and strongly believes in the importance of continuing education. She has taken post-graduate courses to help provide effective treatment techniques for her clients. She has completed her training in the hip complex (part 1) with APTEI, and is currently enrolled in Acupuncture with Acupuncture Canada.
In addition to her special interest in gym acquired injuries, she also has a special interest in treating the jaw region, or temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and hopes to specialize in more detail in this area in the near future.
Outside of work, Naam enjoys living an active lifestyle and loves to relax with a cup of coffee.
