September 13th, 2021 Update – Proof of vaccination
We are aware of the recent Order from the Provincial Health Officer regarding proof of one’s vaccination status in British Columbia whereby B.C. vaccine cards will be required to be shown prior to entering certain businesses – effective September 13 2021. However, Body-Works Sports Physiotherapy services are considered an essential health service, and we fall under the category of a service/locationthat is not obligated to furnish proof of vaccine passports from our patients at this time. Still, we strongly recommend that our patients get vaccinated if they are not already – COVID-19 vaccinations are of the utmost importance in keeping our community safe from infection and to reduce the risk of serious health complications. Masks are still required at our clinic to keep both our patients, staff and physiotherapists safe. Masks are also required throughout our building. We thank you for your continued compliance and support during these challenging times. Currently, COVID-19 is still with us and we continue to be diligent with all standards or care to keep you as safe as we possibly can. We continue to provide services to clients online for telehealth appointments as well as in person appointments.For patients coming into the clinic, we continue to provide hand sanitizer and frequent hand washing and we require all staff, therapists and patients to wear masks and use hand sanitizer inside our space. We clean vigorously between every patient in an attempt to keep you safe.
We wanted to thank you for continuing to come in and trust us with your physiotherapy care. If you are at home and struggling and not interested in attending in person, please contact us to set up a telehealth visit.
Previously, In May 2020, we were cautiously excited and relieved to announce that we implemented very careful steps to be able to once again offer in-person Physiotherapy visits in the clinic beginning after the May long weekend after being closed for 2 months to in person care.
We were able to move ahead with this re-opening due to the Phase 2 plan set out by BC Restart Plan which included Physiotherapy with the possibility of opening after the May long weekend. We have received confirmation that we are now allowed to open May 19th to provide in person services for cases that require in person care. We will begin rescheduling any appointments May 19th in the clinic with gradual increase that week. We will still be providing VIDEO appointments for patients who need assistance but cannot attend the clinic safely or do not require in person care.
For patients attending the clinic, we have created processes and procedures to keep all patients and our Body Works team safe, based upon guidelines set out by Provincial Health Officer, WorkSafeBC, BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).
