Vestibular rehabilitation and what it is essentially?
Vestibular rehabilitation treats:
- feelings of lightheadedness
- nausea and symptoms that come along with dizziness
Dizziness can be caused by:
- the inner ear or the eyes
Mismatch between those systems will create a bit of a dizziness sensation that you register.

Hi, this is Dana Ranahan at Body Works Sports Physiotherapy in North Vancouver. Now I’m here today with Alicia and we’re going to take a look at her ankle. Alicia is a soccer player and we treat a lot of young soccer players here who end up having ankle pain of one kind or another so I wanted to go through a few basic things that we look for when we look at ankles.
Are you a runner? Been ramping up your training? Any aches and pains? If you have tightness or trouble around the outside of your knee that is preventing you from running please listen in. Iliotibial band or ITB syndrome is common in runners and can be quite painful. Call us with questions. We would be happy to help you overcome this problem and get back to running!

So a lot of us get hip pain with different activities whether it be running or hiking or various sports such as soccer or hockey and hip pain can present itself in various different ways. There’s been a big change in how ICBC has handled some of their injury claims. It started in 2019 where they started to adjust how they handled getting treatment after an injury. And there’s other changes of course, but the treatment is more what affects people, right from the get go.
IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) is where we use a needle to help release tight muscles. It’s very effective for restoring mobility in the spine and helping to reduce pain.
